Toronto Police have arrested and charged a 17-year old boy in connection with a shooting in the city's east end.

A man and a woman were taken to hospital with gunshot wounds after being found late Monday night at a home in the O'Connor Drive and Bermondsey Road area.

The victims are expected to recover.

The boy, whose name cannot be released under Canada's Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with 10 offences, including aggravated assault, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and failing to comply with probation.

Authorities say the accused and the victims are not related.

His first court appearance was scheduled for Tuesday morning.
