York Regional Police are looking for help catching a woman who is suspected of stealing a cancer charity donation box in Richmond Hill.

Authorities say the theft happened in late March, at a restaurant in the area of Yonge Street and Weldrick Road East.

Police have released video footage that shows a woman with dark hair and wearing a jacket with a leopard-style print standing at the cash register before picking up a the donation box from the counter.

Allegations are she carried it back to her table and hid it in her bag.

According to restaurant employees, the box was filled with money at the time but it is not clear how much.

York Regional Police are looking for a woman between 45 and 55 years old.  She is about 5'6" and wears glasses.

I love how they say "suspected" of stealing.. when the video shows her grab it, stick it under her coat, and walk off. :P

I'd just state outright that she stole it. If she has a problem with that, she's perfectly free to step forward and sue me for lying. See how far that gets.

@Angry Bill We've got video evidence of her walking off with charity donations an incontrovertible proof that she's scum, but heaven forbid we tarnish her reputation.
