Peel Regional Police officer charged

The alleged incident happened back in February of this year...

Following a Special Investigations Unit probe, an officer with Peel Regional Police has been charged with assault causing bodily harm.

It was back in February of this year that a 22 year old was injured after an 'exchange' with the officer near Cliff Road and Mississauga Valley Blvd in Mississauga.

While the details of what happened aren't clear, the head of the SIU says there is reasonable grounds that Constable Tomasz Laskowski comitted a criminal offence.

The Laskowski will be in court on July 7th.
