Its Bike to Work Day in the GTA

Be ready to share the road as Bike to Work Month kicks off on Monday

Drivers heading in and out of work on Monday should be aware this is Bike to Work Day all across the Greater Toronto Area.

With hot, sunny weather in the forecast, many people might be tempted to jump on their two-wheeler to get to the office.

That'll mean paying closer attention to the space you leave bicycles to move up the right side of the curb lane -- and the ones who ignore all the rules of the road; swerving in and out, blowing through reds and stop-signs.

Incidentally, Bike to Work Day is also the launch of Bike to Work month in the GTA.

Friends, Rob and I are on the record as saying that Toronto is no place for cyclists...they're idiots and should stay of our roads. Our street are built for Caddy SUV's, and many of the drivers are drunk and distracted...

My brother Rob said it best a few years ago:

“What I compare bike lanes to is swimming with the sharks. Sooner or later, you’re going to get bitten. And every year we have dozens of people that get hit by cars or trucks. Well, no wonder,” Ford said, expressing his distaste for cyclists. “Roads are built for buses, cars and trucks. Not for people on bikes. And my heart bleeds for them when I hear someone gets killed, but it’s their own fault at the end of the day.”

@Rick Rob Ford is finally in "rehab." But the question remains: when will Ford Nation go to rehab? They're the ones still in denial!

How about "Bike to Work Day and Respect the Rules of the Road so we won't hit you because you are being a idiot".

I've never seen a Cyclist obey any road rules.

@john Thank god that the pigs don't enforce impaired driving laws, drug laws, and distracted driving laws. Not only would your mayor (not mine) be in jail, but fewer cyclists would get killed. The Office of The Mayor of Toronto is actively discriminating against cyclists...Rob Ford has publically stated that they should be prohibited from sharing the roads with motorized vehicles. He even made Don Cherry state his views.

Like Don Cherry said at your mayor's (not mine) inauguration:

Actually I’m wearing pink for all the pinkos out there that ride bicycles and everything. I thought I’d get it in

Real conservatives drive, many try to force cyclists off the road or force them into curbs. It's the spirit that your mayor (not mine) brought into the Mayor's office. But drinking and driving is OK.

@Mark7 Didn't Rob Ford say that he wanted to f**k her in her butt? Now that's one dumb ass that would get stuffed.
