Oil Kings win Memorial Cup

Edmonton underdogs beat Guelph 6-3

The Edmonton Oil Kings are the first Western Hockey League team to win the Memorial Cup since 2008, beating the Guelph Storm 6-3.

Phoenix Coyotes prospect Henrik Samuelsson notched two goals and three assists in the victory over the favoured Storm.

Undrafted Latvian forward Edgars Kulda of the Oil Kings was named the tournament's MVP.
