Police investigate string of break-ins in Mississauga

Investigators say suspects pick their targets by testing homes for unlocked windows and doors

Peel Regional Police are warning residents in south Mississauga to lock their windows and doors at night, or when nobody is home.

A string of break-ins near Lakeshore Road East and Cawthra Road broke out over the weekend, all of them happening overnight.

Investigators say suspects pick their targets by testing homes with unlocked windows and doors.

Electronics have been stolen during several break-ins.

Police ask anyone with information to contact the 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau or Crime Stoppers.
