Peel police are on the hunt for a man accused of sexually assaulting a 22-year old woman in Brampton Wednesday afternoon.

It was reported around 4 p.m. that the woman was approached by the man on the greenbelt path in Holmes Channel Park, between Queen Mary Drive and McLaughlin Road.

She fought him off and the suspect fled the scene on foot.

Police think this may be the SAME suspect who is wanted for a separate sex assault in the same area, that happened on May 13.

Peel Regional Police investigators shared the latest in the case on Thursday morning...

He's described as a black man with a medium complexion, and in his late teens to early 20's. He's 5'5" tall with a stocky build, black, curly hair, a wide nose and is clean shaven.

He was last seen wearing a light purple hoodie, light brown pants, black shoes and a black backpack.

Police want to speak to anyone who may have more information. In the meantime, they're asking that you walk in pairs and be aware of your surroundings if you are walking in that area.
