Police investigate suspicious car fire in midtown neighbourhood

A luxury vehicle was found on fire in the driveway of a home on Inglewood Drive early Friday morning

Police are stopping short of linking this to the series of car fires in the Mount Pleasant and St. Clair area almost 3 weeks ago, but they are calling an early morning car fire "suspicious."

Crews were called to a home at 12 Inglewood Drive just after 3 a.m. on Friday, for a BMW that was on fire in the driveway. Police say the car is a write-off and there was minor damage to the home as well.

No other car fires have been reported, and no one was injured.

No arrests have been made in connection to the 10 vehicles that were torched in the St. Clair and Mount Pleasant area on May 9.
