UPDATE: Man killed, boy hurt in hwy 401 motorcycle crash
Cleanup and investigation snarled traffic for hours

A man is dead and teenage boy in hospital after the motorcycle they were on slammed into the backup of a pickup truck.

It happened at around 1:30 pm Saturday on the eastbound Hwy 401, approaching Hwy 427 in the express lanes.

The 48-year-old Mississauga man driving the bike was killed.  The 14-year-old boy who had been riding on the back was airlifted to hospital with serious but non life-threatening injuries.

The two people riding in the truck were not hurt.

EB lanes of the 401 were blocked for hours as police investigated with cars being forced off the highway at Eglinton Ave.  All lanes were opened just after 6 pm.
