Pedestrian suffers life-threatening injuries after being struck by car

It happened Sunday evening at the intersection of Eglinton and Midland.

A Scarborough intersection was blocked off for over 3 hours Sunday evening after a pedestrian was struck.

The man was hit around 7:15 at the intersection of Eglinton Avenue and Midland.

Paramedics described his condition as life-threatening and he was rushed to hospital.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene according to police.

No other details about the incident or the victim were released.

The intersection was re-opened around 10:30 p.m.
