Markham man arrested for human trafficking

Police believe there may be more victims

York police have arrested a 22-year-old Markham man for human trafficking.

Police say an investigation was launched in March after a victim came forward, looking for help to get out of the sex trade.

Last Thursday, officers arrested Adrian Van Rossum and charged him with trafficking persons, material benefit, robbery, forcible confinement, among other charges.

Police believe there may be other victims.

Anyone with information is being asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
