UPDATE: Lockdown lifted at Brampton High School

Peel Regional Police continue their search for an armed robbery suspect in the area...

Peel Regional Police are looking for an armed robbery suspect in Brampton, forcing a high school into lockdown for a number of hours on Wednesday afternoon.

Police tell Newstalk1010 that the robbery happened on the street near Turner Fenton Secondary School in the Kennedy Rd and Steeles area.

The suspect ran off.

Police called the lockdown 'strictly precautionary' and say there have been no injuries.

It was lifted after a couple of hours, and police said they still hadn't made an arrest.

There's also no description of the suspect they are looking for.
