UPDATE: Charges laid in Scarborough stabbing
The attack happened in the Lawrence East and Morningside Ave. area

A man in his 40's was stabbed several times, Sunday evening in Scarborough.

It happened before 7 p.m. at a high rise apartment building in the area of Lawrence East and Morningside Avenue.

Toronto paramedics described his injuries as life-threatening, but he has since had surgery and is now stable

Police arrested  35-year-old man and charged him with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
