Six Toronto city councillors have come out to endorse local NDP MPPs in Thursday's election, stressing they are the only ones who stand by the city.
Councillor Mike Layton says a Liberal government almost imposed a casino on the city and there are only now promises to electrify GO trains. He doesn't want to speculate on what a Tory government may do.
Layton spoke for the group, which also included Janet Davis, Joe Mihevc, Gord Perks, Anthony Peruzza and Maria Augimieri.
They also say the NDP get better results when it comes to transit and social housing.
