0 0

A couple of wet and soggy days ahead for most of northwestern Ontario.

A low pressure system over South Dakota will move into Minnesota Wednesday and begin affecting northwestern Ontario in the afternoon. Rain will be heavy at times, and isolated thunderstorms will be associated with this system.

The heaviest rainfall is expected Wednesday night through Thursday with amounts in the 30 to 40 mm range. Locally higher amounts may be possible in thunderstorms.

In Toronto, we're expecting between 10 and 15 millimetres. An additional 15-25 millimetres is in Thursday's forecast. Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Toronto and the GTA.
