Toronto Man Arrested for Human Trafficking

36-year-old Travis Savoury is facing six charges.

A Toronto man has been arrested for human trafficking.  Police say that a 22-year-old woman was forced into prostitution and intimidated into handing over the money she earned.   Investigators say the man even used the woman’s debit card and PIN number to withdraw money from her account.

36-year-old Travis Savoury was arrested on Tuesday and charged with Trafficking in Person, Trafficking in Person Receive a Material Benefit, Exercise Control, Uttering a Death Threat, Assault and Fail to Comply.

Investigators believe there may be more victims.
