The pride street festival kicks off on Saturday

People from all over the world are coming to Toronto to show their pride.

Saturday is the first full day of the World Pride Festival. It continues until Sunday June, 29, where the famous pride parade will begin at 1 p.m.

Two million people are expected to visit the city to show support for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transsexual, Transgender, Intersex, Queer/Questioning, 2 Spirited, Allies (LGBTTIQQ2SA) communities.

Jacob travelled from Kansas and said he had been counting down the days until his arrival in Toronto.

“I’m from the Midwest, which is very homophobic. To come to something like this… it’s indescribable.”
