Wynne doesn't know where Drummond got job cut numbers

The Premier pressed on if her government will cut 100,000 jobs.

The premier is shrugging her shoulders at a suggestion by Economist Don Drummond, who says the Liberals might shrink the public sector by 100,000 jobs.

She addressed the comments at a transit event in Toronto Friday morning.

Kathleen Wynne says doesn't know what don Drummond is talking about, stressing she never talked about something like that with him.

However, Wynne didn't actually say she wouldn't do that, only that residents wouldn't see a difference in services.

The Tories faced some heat during the election campaign when they proposed to make the same amount of job cuts.

Wynne stresses her government is going to try and find efficiencies to the way they do things in order to save money.

But...but...I thought that throwing 100,00 people out of work was the idea of a far right, Tea Party maniac!!! How can this be?!?! Oh, right. It's the Liberals. Lie through their teeth to get elected then turn around and crib the other party's plan.
    Get used to it, folks.

@Greg You stupid contard, you still don't get it. You're still relying on 20th-century "logic and results" when we're moving on to the 21th-century where FEELINGS and INTENTIONS rule.

When Timmy Contard Walmart Hudat wanted to cut government jobs, it was evil because he's from WalMart. When Glorious Premier Wynne wants to do it, it's because she knows better than we do what we really need.

It's like how black people can call each other N-word all day long, but if you even think it you're a racist who deserves to be hanged.

@john Tea Party Tim was NEVER a Walmart manager.

He was a roving "consultant" who looked at old WOOLCO stores to see what would have to be done to make them into Walmarts.

My goodness, nephew ... you are so dumb and so uninformed.

Of course Wynne won't cut 100,000 public sector jobs; that was the PC plan, consisting of a series of small, measured cuts over a period of time. Plus, it was targeted exclusively at completely unneeded bureaucrats who should never have been hired in the first place.

Wynne, on the other hand, is going to wait until she paints herself into a corner, where the only way out is a massive, panicked slashing of jobs and services. In her panic, she'll target the front-line workers who would have been safe under Hudak's cuts, and services will suffer for it. The unions will freak out, and we'll have massive labour unrest on our hands in the form of strike actions every time we turn around.

To put it another way, Tim Hudak wanted to get that strange mole looked at and removed before it could turn malignant. Wynne is going to wait until it turns into full-blown melanoma and eats half of our damn leg off.

She doesn't know where Don Drummond found 100,000 jobs to cut, because she never read the report that her government paid him HOW MUCH of our tax dollars to create in the first place.

I can't tell if she's too stupid to run a province properly, too lazy to try, or too evil to want to.

Sorry, but I don't see how Wynne finding efficiencies is a bad thing. If they add up to 100,000 jobs, great ! If they add up to 40 or 60,000 (which is where I think they will be) that's great too!

They key is that the focus should be on running EFFICIENT government. Hudak didn't do that. He set a large, seemingly arbitrary target, and never communicated a strategy to achieve it.

So, if the Liberals are going to start acting like the PCs (or rather, what the PCs would be if they had their heads screwed on right) then I don't have a problem with it.

@tanjo Why are the liberals only now going to look at efficiencies. They have had eleven years, instead they hired 300,000 overpaid public sector employees to curbed the jobs numbers as massive manufacturing jobs have been lost due to pet experiments like the Green Energy Act

@Tanjo. .. wynne finding efficiencies is not a bad thing. but then again, neither was Hudac except he didnt lie about wanting to do it.

And Hudac was promoting running a more efficient gov't including less cabinet ministers. But you didnt have your listening ears on because you were blinded by the Liberal bullshit.
