Former Premier blames opposition for minority government issues

He may have had to deal with the $1 billion gas plant scandal while he was at Queen's Park but former Premier Dalton McGuinty looked anything but stressed as he returned to the legislature to take in the Speech from the Throne

A smiling McGuinty stood in the halls of the legislature calling the Liberals majority success at the polls, great news. As for why he thinks a minority government didn't work, it wasn't because of any government scandal.

He says it was because the opposition didn't want to work with the Liberals.

While she distanced herself from McGuinty during the election, Premier Kathleen Wynne says she was happy to see him and even gave him some credit.

Wynne says her plan was based on how that McGuinty did as leader.
