WATCH: McGuinty returns to Queen's Park for Throne Speech

Former Premier blames opposition for minority government issues

He may have had to deal with the $1 billion gas plant scandal while he was at Queen's Park but former Premier Dalton McGuinty looked anything but stressed as he returned to the legislature to take in the Speech from the Throne

A smiling McGuinty stood in the halls of the legislature calling the Liberals majority success at the polls, great news. As for why he thinks a minority government didn't work, it wasn't because of any government scandal.

He says it was because the opposition didn't want to work with the Liberals.

While she distanced herself from McGuinty during the election, Premier Kathleen Wynne says she was happy to see him and even gave him some credit.

Wynne says her plan was based on how that McGuinty did as leader.

@Frankie Not only in jail but also with big Bubba as his cell mate to take that smirk off the a-hole's face!

@Alex Can't believe i was within striking distance of that scum-bag once, but didn't take the opportunity to "express my displeasure". Not even a decent lugie hocked at him. Sure, I was at work and would likely have been fired had I done it, but i still think it was a wasted opportunity.

Note to Premier Mom. You do not have to build on Premier Dad's legacy of corruption and scandal. You can now throw the bastard under the bus. I don't believe in jail for him.

Let us go old school. Put him in the blocks outside of Queens Park. His government wasted 5 billion dollars at least with their scandals. But wait there is revenue opportunity while Dalton is in blocks! Liberals love revenue opportunities and we can reduce the deficit! Let us charge $1000 for kick in the ass and $100,000 for a kick in the nuts and $100 dollars for a couple slaps in the face.

That would be some revenue tool! I would be lining up!

@Mike from the hinterland Here's an even better idea. Let's set up grandstands (like the old Roman forum) in Caledonia and sell seats to citizens and the OPP, then throw McGuinty into the middle and let the natives at him while nobody comes to his protection. We could reduce the Liberal-created deficit while McGuinty gets a taste of his own medicine.

@Mike from the hinterland I am at a loss to explain her support of the Pointy Headed Weasel. I can only assume she supports the Liberal ideals much as Ford supporters support Ford's ideals, even though neither the PHW or Ford actually represent the ideals they their followers support.

Right now he is checking his lunar calender to look for a holiday excuse for not answering questions, all year long.

eg. Today is about Canada Day, I have nothing to say.
      St. Patrick's day.
      Secretaries day
      Grandparents day
And on and on and on.

By 2018 or 2022, all citizens will be required to produce proof of union membership before being allowed to vote. Also, each classroom will be required to have a portrait of Dalton McGuinty in a halo of sunlight, laying his benevolent hand on Wynne's head. Finally, all Canadian history books will be revised to reveal how Mike Harris was responsible for World War 2, the Rwandan genocide, why childbirth hurts, and the invention of sadness.

Hold on tight, folks. Next stop: rock bottom.

@Ontario's Future By 2018 or 2022, all crack houses must have a portrait of Rob Ford sucking on his crack pipe and an accompanying portrait of Doug Ford denying it, and accusing the media of being the real liars.

Every office in downtown Toronto must be sufficiently stocked with liquor and ladies of the night for late evening fun.

All SUV'S and other vehicles must have an unknown lady DD (drunk driver), and absolutely no explanation is to be given to friends, family or the public.

All questionable behaviour must not be explained to law enforcement, even if one's credibility is the lowest one can achieve.

@By 2018 or 2022 You're absolutely right, how silly of me. Of COURSE one mayor's embarassing behaviour is just as bad as the continued criminal actions and reckless waste of the Liberal Party. I mean, why bother paying attention to problems that will destroy the quality of life for every citizen in Ontario when there's a guy in Toronto hurting nothing but his own reputation!

@By 2018 or 2022 By 2018 or 2022, Torontonians will finally realize that most of the conservative commenters on these boards don't live in Toronto. That Toronto Liberal voters voted Rob Ford in. (As proven by the fact that Toronto is a liberal stronghold at all levels of government, but Rob Ford still got elected) And that the rest of the province couldn't care less about your crackhead mayor.

This is a provincial story, Harper and Ford have nothing to do with it.
