Toronto Police expect to lay impaired driving charges after a sports car slammed into a home in Etobicoke early Monday morning.

The 2-door Porsche also hit a hydro pole, knocking out power in the surrounding area along Burlingame Road, in the Lake Shore Boulevard and Browns Line area.

Authorities say the car went through a fence and crashed into the side of the residence.

The driver fled the scene but was arrested by police a short time later.

Police say no one was seriously hurt.
