Police warn of a sex offender released back into the community

58-year-old Shawn Bansfield is believed to be living in Toronto and possibly Montreal...

Toronto Police call it a 'community safety notification'.

They're warning of a 58 year old man, released from custody, with a number of conditions.

Shawn Bansfield is not allowed to attend any daycare centre, school ground, playground, arcade, public swimming area or public park where anyone under the age of 16 could be.  

He's also banned from starting up an intimate relationship, cohabitation, marriage or common-law relationship with a person who is the parent or guardian of children under the age of 16 until that person has been identified to the Toronto Police Service

Bansfield has prior convictions for sexual assault, sexual interference and sexual exploitation.

Toronto Police Service Sex Crimes is notifying the public about his release because of his potential to re-offend. He will be residing in Toronto and possibly also in Montreal.

He is known to go by the following names: Rene Shawn Bansfield, Shawn Rene St. Denis-Bansfield, Justin Michael Ryan, Ryan Windover, Justin Michael Bansfield, Justin Rene, Shawn St. Denis, and Rene Mansfield.
