Tip-line set up in Markel murder in Florida

So far, police in Tallahassee have yet to make an arrest...

On the surface, it appears as though the murder of a Toronto-born law professor in Florida, is a mystery.

41 year old Dan Markel was shot in the head on Friday morning in an upscale area of Tallahassee.

Police have been able to rule out that robbery or burglary was a motive, and they say this was not a random attack. Markel was targeted.

But his killer is still out there.

There have been no arrests and so far police haven't been able to release any sort of suspect descriptions.

But Police have left a dedicated tip line open, based on the sheer number of calls that have come in so far.

Officers say all calls are being returned and all leads followed up on, but none of those leads appear to have turned up anything significant.

Markels body is being flown back to Canada, but funeral arrangements have yet to be finalized.
