York Regional Police have arrested a man who not only robbed a woman in a Richmond Hill parking lot but then went to her home a few days later.

The woman was leaving a bank in Hillcrest Mall on Saturday when a man with a large kitchen knife approached her outside her parked car.

Cst. Andy Pattenden says the man forced the woman into the back seat of her car but while he got into the driver's seat she managed to escape. The man fled with the purse, which contained her keys and identification.

The woman took a picture of him as he ran away.

It's alleged the suspect went to the woman's apartment on Wednesday, again armed with the knife. Police arrested him at the scene.

58-year-old Antonio Ricciardi of Richmond Hill faces six charges including robbery, forcible confinement and two counts of carrying a concealed weapon.

He'll appear in court on Monday.
