Pro-palestinian and pro-Israeli protestors were toe-to-toe in front of Queen’s Park on Saturday afternoon.

Pushing and shoving was reported, but Toronto Police told Newstalk 1010 that no one was injured and instigators were removed immediately.

Both sides were waving their respective flags and hoisting signs.

Palestinian supporters had signs that read “Free Gaza” and “Your taxes are funding Israeli war crimes.” Meanwhile pro-Israeli protestors has signs that read “Canada loves Israel.”

Pro-Palestinian representatives then made their way south on University and stopped in front of the US consulate, demanding more be done about the exchange of rocket fire between Hamas and Israel.

University Avenue was closed in both directions from Dundas St W to Armoury St.
