Toronto Police hold update on 29-year-old abduction case

8-year-old Nicole Morin disappeared from Etobicoke home after leaving to go swimming with a friend.

Toronto Police held a news conference on Wednesday to recognize the abduction of Nicole Morin.  It’s been 29 years since the eight-year-old disappeared from her parents’ apartment in the Highway 427 and Rathburn Road area.  Police say the young girl was supposed to meet a friend to go swimming, but was never seen by her family again.  Investigators say she never met up with her friend that day.

Morin disappeared on July 30th, 1985, and was last seen wearing a coral-coloured bathing suit.  Since then, investigators have released updated composites of what Nicole Morin may look like as a teenager and as an adult.  In early July Toronto Police announced that they were following up on some new tips in the case.

Toronto Police have released a re-enactment video during the news conference.
