That eyesore at the foot of Yonge Street, will soon be gone.

The once majestic Captain John's has been sold, for $33,500.

James Sbrolla is the entrepreneur who purchased the vessel and says he has no plans on what to do with the ship. He says he's open to speaking with someone else who may want to help pay to restore the boat.

In all, there were three bids for Captain John's which was ordered to be auctioned off to help pay for the 1.7 million dollars in debt it's incurred sitting at the foot of Yonge.

The conditions of this sale; it will have to be moved by August 22nd.

Let's take you back to the way the ship looked back in September of 2013.
