Crews battle fire at homes in Leslieville
The fire began at a home under construction on Minto Street, then spread to the homes next door.

Crews were called to the scene of a 2-alarm fire that destroyed one home under construction while gutting to others on Minto Street in the Eastern and Leslie Street area.

The call came in around 3 a.m. on Thursday, to a home that was under construction on the small residential street. The flames then spread to the homes next door.

Reports from the scene indicate that those living there, managed to get out safely. There are no reports of any major injuries.

There is no word yet on how the blaze was started, but the Ontario Fire Marshall has been called in to investigate.
