Male cyclist dies after collision in Scarborough

Man, believed to be in his thirties, was hit by a vehicle near Neilson and Sheppard

A male cyclist is dead after being struck by a car in Scarborough on Friday.

The man, believed to be in his 30s, was hit shortly before 5:30 p.m. near Neilson Road and Sheppard Avenue East.

Toronto police reports the man was without vital signs when EMS transported him to Sunnybrook Hospital. 

According to investigators, the driver of the car remained on scene.

As of late Friday, the area near Neilson and Sheppard remained closed to traffic for a police investigation.
