You may have noticed quite the commotion around King and Portland in downtown Toronto early Wednesday afternoon.

A gas leak led to the evacuation of at least two buildings.

Captain David Eckerman with Toronto Fire says the gas line was ruptured within a building at 560 King Street West. The line was severed because of digging operations.

King Street West is closed between Bathurst and Spadina, but re-opened around 4 o'clock.

There were no injuries reported.
