A man who was killed in a motorcycle accident in Markham Friday night has been identified.

Zamir Beckles, 28, of Toronto, was travelling on the Highway 404 northbound ramp to Highway 407 at around 8:40 p.m. when he lost control of his motorcycle and was ejected.

Beckles was then pronounced dead a short time later.

His death comes on the heels of a reminder from police that motorcycle riders need to drive within the speed limit.

Police are also reminding drivers of other vehicles to be vigilant in looking out for motorcycles.

They say motorcyclists can help make themselves more visible by
wearing bright clothing.
