Weekend road closures to watch for

Lake Shore is closed for bridge installation; Bloor and Yonge will be closed Sunday for street festival

There are several road closures this weekend that drivers should keep in mind. 

Lake Shore Blvd is closed between Bay and York Sts for the installation of a pedestrian bridge. 

On Sunday, Open Streets Toronto will close off Bloor St from Spadina to Parliament, as well as Yonge St from Bloor to Queen Sts. The closures will be in place from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

On Saturday, Wheels on the Danforth and Fun in the Park will close off Danforth Ave, from Warden Ave to Byng Ave, and Danforth Rd, from Landry Ave to Danforth Ave. The closure will be in place from 7 a.m. to midnight.

Also on Saturday, A Midsummer Night's Run will close off Bouchette St and Logan Ave from Commissioners Str to Lake Shore Blvd E from 6 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. The race starts at 5:30 p.m. and will also involve some road closures on streets bounded by Cherry Street to the west, Lake Shore Boulevard to the north, Leslie Street to the east and Unwin Avenue to the south.  

On both Saturday and Sunday, the International Street Festival will close off Eglinton Ave, from Dufferin St to Marlee Ave.
