Union station's second platform opens Monday morning

Expect a lot more elbow room while waiting for your train

If you travel through Union station, Monday’s commute should be a lot less crowded.  According to the TTC, a second platform will open at 6 a.m.

Those travelling up the University portion of the loop will continue to use the old platform, while those heading up Yonge will use the new one.

The TTC promises there will be plenty of signage and staff on hand to offer direction and limit confusion.

This new platform is just one part of the $137-million revitalization of Union station.  The entire project is expected to be complete in Spring, 2015.
