Two teens arrested after west-end carjacking

Police were called to the area of Islington Ave and Finch Ave W at about 7:30 p.m. Monday.

Police have arrested two teens after a carjacking in the northwest end. 

Police were called to the area of Islington Ave and Finch Ave W at about 7:30 p.m. Monday. 

It is alleged that a 16-year-old and 18-year-old approached a man on his driveway and pointed to a gun while demanding he hand over his car keys. 

Police say the victim was pistol-whipped before the two suspects took off with the car. 

Officers followed the stolen vehicle and arrested the suspects when they were forced to stop due to traffic. 

A 16-year-old boy of Toronto is facing ten charges including unauthorized possession of a gun, careless storage of a gun, and armed robbery. 

18-year-old Leon McIntyre is facing 15 charges, including unauthorized possession of a gun, armed robbery, assault with a weapon, pointing a gun, and assault causing bodily harm.
