Man jailed after sexually assaulting TTC employee

Arshad Sajid will serve 45 days in jail and is banned from using the TTC for 18 months

Arshad Sajid has pleaded guilty after being charged with sexual assault of a TTC employee.  

On Wednesday, the 44-year-old was sentenced to 45 days in jail along with an 18-month ban from the TTC. In addition, he was fined $200 and has been ordered to pay $250 restitution to the victim.

According to Toronto Police, Sajid approached a TTC transit ambassador at Dundas station on August 4 and asked for help. Then he put his hand in the ambassador’s pocket and groped her buttocks.
