Police arrest one, another suspect outstanding in double shooting

A 25-year-old has been charged as police search for a second suspect

Toronto Police has arrested a 25-year-old in connection to a deadly drive-by shooting.

On August 18, two men were victims of a shooting in Eglinton Avenue West and Jane Street area. One died and the other was left in serious condition.

Franklin Afrifa, 25, of Toronto has been charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder.

He is scheduled to make his first court appearance August 25.

Police are asking for the public's assistance locating a second suspect. Benard Asante (Benard Kissi), 24, of Toronto, is wanted for the same offences. 

He is described as black, approximately 5'5", and weighs approximately 130 lbs. He has his hair in cornrows. He is considered armed and dangerous. Do not approach him. Call police at 9-1-1.
