Driver injured in garbage truck rollover

One man has been taken to hospital with critical injuries

The driver of a garbage truck has critical injuries after the vehicle rolled over  at the QEW and Guelph Line.

The accident occurred just after noon on Monday.

The 60-year old man had to be airlifted to hospital.

No one else was injured in the crash.

The OPP says two right lanes of the eastbound QEW are closed in the area in addition to the ramp from southbound Guelph Line to the eastbound QEW.

At this point, police don't know if all the lanes will be reopened in time for the rush hour afternoon commute.
