Peel police are reminding residents to keep their windows and doors closed after five incidents of break and enters in Mississauga.

Police say the break-ins happened between July 23 and September 2nd.

The suspect allegedly attempts or gains access into homes and commits indecent acts.

The most recent case happened at about 1 a.m. Tuesday on Forestwood Dr, near Mavis Rd and Dundas St W.

Police say a woman was sleeping in a main floor bedroom when she woke up to a man performing an indecent act. Police allege that the man sexually assaulted the woman before he took off on foot.

The suspect is described as male, dark skinned, possibly South Asian, about 6’2”, and clean shaven. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and dark grey sweat pants with a double white stripe down either side. He was also wearing a black scarf partially covering his face.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.

Advice from police:

- keep all doors and windows closed and securely locked at all times.

- When sleeping, keep curtains and blinds closed.

- Ensure hedges and shrubs are trimmed so as not to block a view of the homes points of entry, and make sure the area around your residence is well lit.

- Keep a house or cell phone close by, and report any suspicious or unusual activity or incidents to police immediately.
