Wynne now ruling out coalition with NDP

The Premier pressed on the issue at a campaign stop in Vaughan

The premier is now ruling out a coalition with the NDP if the Tories win a minority government. She was pressed on the issue at a campaign stop in Vaughan today.

Kathleen Wynne stood in front of hundreds of supporters, vowing to bring back the legislature within twenty days if re-elected. She also promised that whoever wins the most seats in the election will form government.

When pressed on the issue last week, Wynne had kept the door open to anything saying she would see what happens on June 12th

Ontario needs YOU to come out and vote BLUE. Let's vote in a strong Tory majority on June 12!

@Jack I'd rather start with a PC minority (and now it looks possible). Hudak, I think, needs a short leash, at least to start.

Second term majority maybe. It worked at the Federal level.

Who really gives a damn what she does. Between the lieberals and the NDP they have succeeded in bringing the province close to bankruptcy. Borrowing and taxing more is all they do to buy votes.
    Vote PC!

@thor The Union does care and still supporting the Liberal even though they knew the deficit cannot be cut without cutting services and firing civil servants.. and that is the irony...and Wynne cound not even provide the answer last night when she was asked that question..

Tim Hudak is truthful in that regard and it is 4 years and through attrition that 100 000 jobs will be lost ,, via retirement .. and not filling vacant position..

      I concurred.. vote PC..

█The Liberals screwed up big time.█ However this is an election about moving forward vs looking in the rear view mirror.█ The worst possible choice for this election is Tim Hudak.█ He is a former Walmart manager who wants the people of Ontario to have a similar relationship with their employers as his employee's had with Walmart.█
█Tim has already expressed an interest in far right American Republic Tea Party policies such as 'Right to Work' legislation.█ Barack Obama called it "Right to Work for Less'.█

█Truly the greatest danger lies ahead of us.█ That danger is Tim Hudak█.

@█Alex█ Your right Alex, the greatest danger lies ahead of us. 100 miles an hour into a brick wall due to the massive debt. Third largest expenditure the government has is paying the INTEREST on the debt. I felt soooo much better listening to the premiers non response after being asked about the deficet and debt. I do expect that Wynne will win the election. I do expect the credit agencies to knock the province down. I do expect Wynne will be forced to make substantial cuts. I do expect you to be protesting at Queens Park when it looks like YOUR CUT may be in jeporady.

@David █ You're confused. The debt is not a danger, it's the best thing that ever happened to us. █ The private sector in Ontario will crumble, unemployment outside of government workers will hit 100%, and everyone will either work for the province or be on welfare. █ We'll all get free money, forever, with no consequences or downside, and little if any work to do. █ It will be paradise. █

@David █All the choices are bad, but Tim Hudak is the very worst█ If he gets in it will be very interesting.█Republican Tea Party politics with the blessing of the lowest scum corporations on the earth such as Walmart█ It will be the sequel to Mike Harris times 10.█

@█Alex█ I'm afraid I don't see how creating jobs is somehow worse than bankrupting the province through debt, as the Liberals want to do, or bankrupting it through giving all our money to public sector unions and special interest groups, as the NDP want to do.

You would rather see the province destroyed, than to see it built up in a style you don't agree with.

@█Alex█ So you have no defense for wanting to see the province in the worst economic situation Canada has ever seen, rather than see an accountable and responsible government in power?

█Tea Party Tim will make sure every man, women and child suffers from having no say in their workplace.█ After some time Tim will put 'right to work' legislation on the table again█. He will tell us that to get the manufacturing industry we have to lower our working rights.█
█Then Tea Party Tim will say we have to become an "at will" state or province.█ Then your employer can let you go at any time in your career without severance pay█.
█It is all happening right now in the good old USA.█

█See you at the bottom everyone! █The rich corporate owners and company leaders will keep getting richer and richer█.

@█Alex█ Kathleen Wynne will make sure every man, woman and child in Ontario suffers from starvation, as the province enters 100% welfare enrolment after she finishes killing the private sector.

I'd like to know why you think that creating jobs is worse than destroying a province through bankruptcy. In all the time we've been butting heads over the election, all you've done is shout sound bites without actually defending your position.

@█Alex█ I am fed up with your Walmart bullshit. Do you really believe that if Tim Hudak wins the election all companies will become like Walwart?

I have worked for a large company (no unions) for many years including the Mike Harris years.

They have always paid a good a wage and gave good benefits. So tell me Mr. Liberal if the conservatives are so bad how come my company and many others did not become like Walmart when Milke Harris was in power?

The only danger is from the Liberals. Their waste and high taxes are making it too difficult to run a profitable business and pay people like me a decent wage.

A recent poll by the Canadian Federation of Independent Business said that if the Liberals impose the Ontario pension plan most small business owners will cut employee hours, lay people off or stop hiring because of the extra expense. So how is that for Liberal job creation?

█Yes I do.█ Working for that horrible company is his yardstick for measuring company/employee relations.█

Ms Wynne has no worries on the coalition front.
Ontario voters will give her a 2 or 3 seat majority next Thursday.
    1. Angry Bill posted on 06/05/2014 01:33 PM
@Sammy from Scarborough That would make baby Jesus cry. So would giving her a minority.

Liberals have lost any and all moral mandate to remain in power. They lie, cheat, steal, mislead, and treat Liberal voters like the idiots they truly are.

Plus, they are hell bent on seeing how fast they can flush this province down the sewer through their tax and spend agenda. Just in case you were a bit confused as to what "tax and spend" means, it means your taxes will be more than they are now, and they will be spending your money more than they are now. If you're perfectly okay with that, then by all means.. vote the fiberals back in. You deserve the government you get.
