Here are some of your opinions on Tuesday`s show
Your show today regarding dead jokes andy MJ was disgraceful and I will not
be tuning in to listen to your show.
MJ was not found guilty by a jury of any crime and I think that you should
apologize to the listeners for the very low
This morning CFRB's Jim Richards show hit an all time low when Jim Richards
made the comment that Michael Jackson's death was caused when he "choked on
a 6 year old frank"! How disgusting! Especially when the kids are home on
summer holiday! I think he should be fired if you value the ongoing
reputation of CFRB
I hope you feel better after your talk segment on Micheal Jackson. I can't
believe you have so much hate in your heart. You have cross the line and
taken the radio station with you. You may think you are right, but
remember what goes around comes around. Hate is a desease and you are a
sick person.

*BBC pulled an episode of Family Guy because of jokes about Michael Jackson in it (Jackson in bed with Stewie the baby).
*The British comedian Frankie Boyle quit his column at a newspaper because it refused to publish his jokes about Jackson.
*And a scene with LaToya was cut from Sacha Baron Cohen’s Bruno film (He joked about Michael`s voice).
My Apology and Why I am Sorry !
There are times in your life when you remember where you were. Where was I when I heard about Michael ? I was buying water globes for my outdoor plants at Fairview Mall and the guy working the cash at Showcase said that the radio just announced that Michael Jackson had died. At first I thought the guy was joking. Then I asked around and found it was true. As I drove home listening to Spider Jones, I remember thinking anyone who tells Michael Jackson jokes is sick. (Honest) Spider did a very balanced show covering all aspects of Jackson`s career.
I didn`t grow up a Michael Jackson fan. But as I grew older and learned to appreciate all types of music. I also became a big fan of the older Jackson stuff. The Wall is my favorite. You never had to like Michael to know who he was. You may have come to know him as the punchline to late night talk jokes. You saw his ever-changing face on tabloid covers at Dominion. Stories of a monkey, a lama ,a glove, his own theme park and sleeping in the same bed with kids. Who could have written this stuff? Whatever you thought ,there's no denying he was a unique individual who`d always been a target because of his behavior , deserved or not. BUT THAT WAS THEN ,THIS IS NOW
Michael Jackson's death wiped out all other news. Iran, garbage strike and the affair of South Carolina Governor Mark Stanford all gone. Days have gone by without any new information on Jon and Kate and their 8, what will we do?
As I watched CNN last Thursday I was somewhat amazed at how his story was white washed and selectively reported. Celebrities that would not be caught dead with him last Wednesday are all tripping over themselves on Thursday to get media face time to eulogize him. And it has been predominately like that ever since. I had commented that It should all be on the table. And while my thought since originally listening to Spider had changed. IT DID NOT MEAN I SHOULD HAVE AIRED THEM AND FOR THAT I AM SORRY!
People often will comment on my job and say "don`t you wish you could say what you were really thinking?". Well the good news is I can, and the bad news is I can. There is a saying "don`t speak ill of the dead". Believe it or not, I did not just learn it.
I know what language I can use on CFRB and the public airwaves. And I know that if it was any other topic it would NOT be OK to use those jokes and innuendo of that caliber. In homes,pubs and around water coolers all over the world people are telling jokes. Many people don`t like them but its part of the conversation and will be part of the legacy. THAT IS NOT A REASON TO EXPOSE THEM TO THE CFRB AUDIENCE!
I EXERCISED BAD JUDGEMENT
THE COMMENTS AND JOKES WERE NOT SUITABLE FOR THE AIRWAVES. Fact is I didn`t just learn this. That is why I failed on you on Tuesday . For that I apologize and am sorry. I could have talked about this topic without repeating these alleged Jokes.
