John Downs has worked in Toronto radio since 1998. The bulk of his time has been spent behind the microphone as a reporter and host. Downs has been a mostly unwelcome presence at City Hall for many years, covering council meetings, spending scandals and countless incidences of grandstanding and eye-rolling.

Some of Downs' higher profile assignments have included, SARS, blackouts, pope-wrangling, and most recently, rubber bullet dodging at G20 protests.

His reporting and commentaries have been recognized three times by the Radio and Television News Directors Association of Canada.
