Horse racing: The sport of kings... And degenerates who can't aim

There's such potential at Woodbine Racetrack in the northwest corner of Toronto. The infield is beautifully manicured, the grandstand bathed in sunshine. And spectators of all backgrounds come to enjoy the elegant spectacle of thoroughbreds gliding across the track. On Saturday, couples both old and young enjoyed a daytime date. A couple of stags partied, smiling and quaffing (not ridiculously priced) beers. Even young families took in the action - two girls in front of us beaming as their horse crossed the finish line in first place. Yes, for just $2 a race, anyone can take part in the excitement. Yet a trip to the men's washroom can so easily ruin the day.
