Stop hating American health care and start loving the Swiss

Too often attempts to even discuss improving our health care system are met with angry attacks on the American system. I don't know how that is helpful, but if you inssist on comparing us to another system, how about the one they have in Swtzerland?

This report compares us to the Swiss and finds us wanting.

    There's lots bad about our health care system and I'm certain there's lots good about Swiss health care. When comparing the two using the %GDP spent (both Canada and Switzerland are at 11.4%) you must recognize that the Swiss GDP per PERSON is >50% higher that Canada's. (63,000 to 40,000). This means the Swiss spend more than 50% more per person than Canada. If we upped our spending by 50% we'd surely have a much better system. But we'd have to find the money!!!

      @Ian Switzerland's healthcare is the 3rd most expensive in the world. So once again Agar only presents his "facts".
      It's amazing that he comes back to Canada calling us socialists and communists but quickly heads to the trough to get his American family their healthcare coverage. He hates public school and wants it all privatized but again throws his kids into the public system. Then he claims...he has no choice. So here's the choice...go back and live in the system that you support because you're a hypocrite and I guess...in your eyes ....you're now a socialist.
