Public opinion unfair to Sarah? So what?

Posted By: Jerry Agar · 3/12/2013 8:21:00 AM

Memo to Sarah Thomson: The court of public opinion can be vicious and unfair.

You can play the victim, if in fact you are the victim.

Only you and Toronto Mayor Rob Ford know what transpired between you last Thursday evening.

But do not attack the messenger, when the messenger is you.

The most unfair, quick-to-a-decision court we have is the court of public opinion (COPO).

Take to that court, and you run the risk of the COPO belittling and trivializing your case.

I know this, because as a talk show host I hold a COPO on a daily basis.

Read the rest here.

You dont host a talk show. Your show is more of a rant on agenda's that you dont favor. Definition of a talk show is having a healthy debate and showing respect for other opinion. You're simply a fool with a microphone!

@johnsurry Wow have you ever listened to any other talk shows John? Especially the ones from the US from both the right and the left? He is not only a radio talk show host, but also a commentarian. He has as much right to say what he likes as you do. Your free choice is to either not listen or debate him! But becuase you don't like what he has to say, doesn't give you the right to try and shut him up. That last part you said in your comment, really shows how you are. If you can't debate him, you call him names! How childish!

Q: Is Dave your retarded cousin?

You're usually on the money (especially with this story) where he's usually off his rocker.

Now here is a great solution for the proposed immigration legislation!!!

Putin's Short Speech 2/4/13 RE: Immigration

Have we anything in common with Putin/Russia? We could sure take a lesson on Immigration.

On February 4th, 2013, Vladimir Putin, the Russian president, addressed the Duma, (Russian Parliament), and gave a speech about the tensions with minorities in Russia:

"In Russia, live Russian. Any minority, from anywhere, if it wants to live in Russia, to work and eat in Russia, should speak Russian, and should respect the Russian laws. If they prefer Shari ‘a Law, then we advise them to go to those places where that's the state law.

“Russia does not need minorities. Minorities need Russia, and we will not grant them special privileges, or try to change our laws to fit their desires, no matter how loud they yell 'discrimination'.

“We better learn from the suicides of America, England, Holland and France, if we are to survive as a nation. The Russian customs and traditions are not compatible with the lack of culture or the primitive ways of most minorities.
When this honorable legislative body thinks of creating new laws, it should have in mind the national interest first, observing that the minorities are not Russians.”

The politicians in the Duma gave Putin a standing ovation for five minutes.

Now, just ask yourselves, Why on earth would our government continuously give preferential treatment to minorities, illegal immigrants, let alone those at war with the United States?
Why all the sympathy for Islam?
    Why?

    We’d better wake up!

Funny how you criticized Trudeau all yesterday on his comments, but now that the one guy is dead and the other on the run, CBS is now wondering, "what would make someone do this sort of thing...". Think Justin was wondering that too, not an insensitive statement, but a deep thinking person's own question.

This week our goal was clear: demonstrate from the get-go that under Justin's leadership the purpose of the Liberal Party of Canada is fighting for the middle class.

He proved it in Question Period. He proved it in his first address to Caucus, and he proved it during his first official trip to Quebec City.

Yesterday, he followed through on another promise - to deliver real democratic reform in Parliament.

Justin tabled a motion to open Parliament up and allow all MPs to speak freely on behalf of their communities.

If MPs vote to pass this motion, the speaking order for Members' statements in the House will be determined by alphabetical order instead of by party leadership - allowing every member the right to speak in the House, on a regular basis, on issues of importance to their constituents.

Stephen Harper is already trying to play games with the timing of the debate on this initiative. But Canadians' desire for democratic reform is strong and we will continue to bring about change in Parliament.

Our message of Hope and Hard Work is resonating. And we need you to help connect Justin's national message with your local community.

As Justin said last Sunday: "We have won nothing more and nothing less than the opportunity to work even harder for Canadians."

That work has begun in earnest in Ottawa and we know it has already begun in your ridings.

    Team Justin

This the direction of the Liberal Party .. We are not about BULLINING Canadians into liking us. We are going to win Canadians over by the work we are ready to do for them.. Ask not want Canada can do for you. But want you can do for Canada
