(this is my general response to most threads who are wondering about whether she wrote the speech)

    Good afternoon everyone!

This is Victoria's father. Victoria is a bright young girl with an exceptional memory. She chose this topic to research. She spent a few weeks writing, editing, having us proof read and challenge her, assisting her as any parent would and should.
We had two outright requirements for her speech. She could not include information she could not explain outside of the scope of her speech and she could not use any vocabulary she was unable to define and use in another context.
She understands this topic at the level an intelligent, informed 12 year old is able to understand it. Why people focus on whether she wrote the speech vs what the speech says I am unsure. Is it an ego thing? I ask in a sincere manner. I mean no disrespect. I am simply curious as to why this becomes a main point of contention for people.
We supported our daughters desire to deal with this topic. Obviously, it is an interest of mine and she has endured many a dinner table conversation as well as social events where I discuss such topics. But she always participated, asked questions, and wanted to learn more just as my other children do.
I will do my best to support my daughter in whatever ventures she chooses to pursue without apology.
Hope everyone has a great day and weekend.

@Facing42 What an incredible and insightful speech from your daughter, sir. You should be extremely proud that she understands the banking system much better than most bankers do apparently. Don't mind Mr. Agar, his nature is to be skeptical about everything, even from a little girl.

    Right on Victoria.

I will show this to my 13-yr old son who is also quite aware of the horrendous fraud the financial system is as it exists today, here in Canda and worldwide.

And he wants to succeed financially. He likes Kevin O'Leary, probably for his apparent brutal honesty and love of wealth. So my son, well aware that the banking system as a whole is like a disease or rust on your car, growing to ruin everything, sees the only way to succeed is to join in. Sadly I have no way to refute such notion.

What a complete farce to say Greece could bring down all of Europe. The financial system has resorted to threats and intimidation and gets more bold about it as time goes on.

Iceland held a referencum and the people won, a true rarity. Greece upon even the suggestion of such notion the financial institutions replaced Papandreou with one of their own.The answer to debt, according to financial institutions, is more debt in the form of so-called bail-outs.

The problem as so eloquently stated by Victoria is the origin of money. the Bank of Canada has zero necessity to borrow from private banks.

But they do. I view it as the taxes I pay, such as HST, income tax, property tax, and all others going to government at all levels, are in effect really being collected on behalf of the private banks.

If people would simply take the 900 billion and divide by say 34 million you get 26,000 per person. Or take the Ontario deficit lately near 20 billion a year borrowed, divide by13 million people and you get 1,500 a year borrowed for each of us including our children.

So why don't our politicians change that?

One only needs to look into corporations that really control this country politically such as the large banks, insurance companies, or my personal favorite with such a suitable name, Power Corporation of Canada, which if you look into it has so many political connections to the highest office for many decades it will make your head spin. In the US, it is so farcical as the top contributor to the democrat and republicans is one and the same - banks, paricularilty Goldman-Sachs! Whose former employees are deeply embedded in the government regulatory bodies overseeing the finacial sector - the wolves are guarding the henhouse!

Endless total political corruption is the reason for the woeful state of finances in Canada and woldwide.

When I go to the bank, and withdraw every penny I possibly can every payday, as my little form of protest since my pillowcase pays just as good interest as my chequing account, I do not view those workers as evil - they are just cogs in a wheel. I return just before a payment is due and deposit only that amount. They get enough of a free ride already from my taxes I figure.

We need a lot more Victoria's here and I applaud newstalk1010 for daring to allow such anti-establishment views.
