All the stuff we featured on Friday's show
Friday's show was a busy one. It's not every day we talk with Shaggy and Velma from Scooby Doo AND a pet psychic. For the record, I just thought she was good with animals in a Temple Grandin kind of way. Nobody told me she communicated telepathically with animals.
For those who enjoyed the all too short conversation with the lovely Laila Biali I would encourage you to visit her website and to consider downloading or ordering an album. Laila is furiously talented and a lovely lady to boot. She has serious chops as a pianist in the tradition of Oscar Peterson and a warm, full singing voice. She also has upcoming concerts in Hamilton and Markham.
The guys providing the music during the show are old actor friends of mine named Randy Vancourt and Daniel Giverin. When they're doing the Irish music they call themselves The Road to Dublin. You can visit Randy's website here and don't forget to check out the now legendary poem his dad wrote A Solider Died Today which is currently being recorded by Connie Francis.
Don't forget to check out Viewpoints live at 3PM Saturday and now available as a podcast.
And I'll be at the Home and Garden Show this weekend at the Kinetico booth. Stop buy and say "hi" and if you've ever wondered why someone who lives in the city might want a home water filter you can talk with one of my friends from Kinetico without any pressure to buy. In fact...we're raffling off a system if you do stop in while I am there.
See you on Monday.
