1. QUEEN'S PASTA: The pastabilities are endless at the famous Queen's Pasta shop, both wholesale and retail open to the public, plus a restaurant with the same name. For the season of love the selection of heart-shaped pasta is perfect. The chili pasta agnolloti has a chocolate, bacon, mascarpone filling, and the red heart shape are a ricotta and spinach. They also have a smoked ricotta, kale and currants pasta and, because the company is also celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, so definitely pop on over and check out the delicious deals.

TARTISTRY: What an astonishing place I happened upon recently. Huge sign outside proclaimed one word: BUTTER TARTS. The place is actually called Tartistry, a charming shop brimming with collectibles, antiques and home to the most awesome selection of butter tarts in various flavours (blueberry, walnuts, raspberry, plain) plus live jazz every Saturday afternoon! More than a cafe, this place is a combination of delicious food and beautiful atmosphere.The tarts are made with butter and real bourbon vanilla. Special orders include diabetes and gluten-free, plus a host of other goodies, too, including scones and savoury tarts savoury tarts – quiche, tourtiere, chicken and beef pot pies.
