Provincial police say they're trying to determine who left rusty nails on the main beach area in Port Dover, Ont.
Police say a large quantity of nails were dropped along the shoreline in the community on Lake Erie.
They say the nails were discovered by members of the public and reported to police on Monday afternoon.
Const. Ed Sanchuk says multiple people, including families visiting the beach with small children, found nails in the sand.
OPP say approximately 100 nails were removed from the beach and turned over to responding officers.
Anyone who has information or can identify those responsible is asked to contact police.
