Halton Police say a teen boy is facing charges, accused of showing off a handgun to some friends outside an Oakville elementary school.
They say a staff member noticed the boys outside River Oaks Public School on Monday and called police.
They were arrested a short time later. The gun was not loaded.
Police say the weapon was legally owned and stored by someone in the boy's home. It's not clear how he got his hands on it.
He's charged with carrying a concealed weapon and unauthorized possession of firearm.
The other teens were released without charges.
