Was it a simple case of a clash of testosterone or was it something more.
Either way two teenagers were left wounded after an altercation involving 10-15 people broke out in the parking lot of York Memorial Collegiate Institute Tuesday afternoon.
Toronto Police and EMS were called to the school in the Keele Street and Eglinton Avenue area around 3:30 p.m.
The pair were taken to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre with what at the time were deemed to be life-threatening injuries.
Police spokesperson Katrina Arrogante later confirmed to NEWSTALK 1010 that the injuries had been upgraded.
"Upon arrival at the hospital after the emergency run, the injuries were no longer considered life-threatening"
Students and faculty were kept inside the school in lockdown as police investigated the circumstances of the confrontation, eventually the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) lifted the lockdown just after 6:30 p.m.
Police have not released any information about possible suspects or motive for the incident.
