A carjacking in the city's west end has led to the arrest of three suspects.
At around 10:30 p.m. Saturday night, a food delivery driver was carjacked at gunpoint by three men, in the Caledonia Road and Rogers Road area.
The three jumped into the suspect's vehicle, which also contained cash and a portable debit/credit machine and sped off.
The driver of the car was not hurt.
Toronto Police were called in and a short time later and eventually spotted the stolen vehicle.
Const. Rob Reid told NEWSTALK 1010 Sunday morning the suspects attempted to flee the area.
" The vehicle was attempting to flee the perimeter that we had set up. Made contact with numerous vehicles, both police and civilian."
That resulted in some damage to police cruisers as well as the stolen car.
According to REid, the three suspects, all identified as young offenders, then tried to flee on foot but didn't get far.
" They jumped out of the vehicle and were subsequently arrested by our officers that were in the area."
One of the officers suffered non life-threatening injuries trying to take down one of the suspects.
The three youths have all been charged with robbery, but could face several other charges.
